Fruits and Vegetables in the Classroom

BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional Program + Milk

For the seventh year, False Creek PAC is pleased to oversee the BCSFVNP (click here to go to the BCSFVNP website). This program is provided at NO COST to our school and promotes healthy eating for our children. It is very popular amongst the students who enjoy eating and learning about their favourite fruits and vegetables at school and trying new ones. Fact sheets and additional resources are also provided for teachers and students.

Below is the delivery schedule for this year. Students will also receive milk with each delivery; students with milk allergies will be offered a soy product as an alternative.

Products are usually delivered on Thursdays (or Fridays) before recess. While the produce has been washed, it will be rinsed again and teachers will ask students to wash their hands before consuming.

Reverse Consent Form: If your child has a fruit, vegetable, milk or soy substitute allergy, please complete the form available in the office — ONLY if your child has an allergy. If they do not, you are not required to return the form.
