False Creek Elementary Spring It On Carnival
The Spring Carnival is an opportunity for False Creek Elementary to have a community building event for the families of the South False Creek and Fairview neighbourhood.
Play, eat, create and enjoy on May 11th, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00
While this is a PAC fundraising opportunity, the primary goal is to host an inclusive event, without requiring a financial commitment from families.

Currently Planned Events:
- DJ: Just outside the Gym
- Rock-Paper-Scissor-Cake: Need prize cakes donated by families
- Tombola: Our Australian, English, and Scottish friends will show us to this game with ping pong balls and prizes
- West Coast Exotics show: 5:00 in the gym – free to everyone
- Theater Sports/Improv Workshop: 3:30 – 5:00 – free to everyone
- Jelly Bean Count Jar Guessing Contest
- Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Pizza (two scheduled deliveries), Hot Dogs, & Snacks
- Jolly Jars Sale: Jolly jars to be donated by families
- Dunk Tank: Come dunk you favourite Principal and others
- Face Painting
- Craft Project Table
- Kids Art Auction
- Collaborative Art Project
- Silent Auction: community businesses are donating great items for adults to bid on:
- A scenic trip for two with Harbour Air,
- 8 days of Park’n’fly at YVR,
- A Pet Portrait session
- and much more…
With additional volunteers, we might be able to add:
- Fish Pond: this is particularly good for the very littlest of our guests?
- Field Games / races / sports?
- Scavenger Hunt?
- Balloonist, Magician, Stilt Walker, Clown, Juggler: any community members with these skills who can perform?
How Can you help out?
- Loan us some field games (bocci, croquet, bean bag toss etc…)
- Loan us a pop-up field tents
- Please consider making a cake (details below!),
- Building a jolly jar (details below!)
- Asking your local business for a donation to the silent auction.
- Volunteer to run a station or be onsite staff for one hour during the Carnival.

2022 FALSE CREEK CAROLING
A joint False Creek Elementary School PAC and the FCSNA (False Creek South Neighbourhood Association) Event.
When: Wednesday December 14 at 5:30 – 8:3
Where: Meet in Leg-in-Boot Square
First we’ll join in the Leg-in-Boot Square Winterfest event starting at 5:30 (their event details below). Then at about 6:30, we’ll walk around, periodically stopping to carol more. Finally we’ll get to the Co-op’s common room at Sitka Square and finish of the evening with warm drinks and snacks
Lanterns, Bells and Instruments encouraged!

2022 Holiday Bazaar

Announcing the False Creek School Holiday Bazaar!!!

The idea of the bazaar is to give our children an opportunity to holiday shop for their family members.
Everyone can let their kids know that this isn’t a garage sale, but a family gift giving opportunity.
The grade 6 and 7s will be helping wrap presents.
This is also a fund raiser split between the food bank and the Grade 6/7 camp.
All items will be sold for $2 or less.
DONATIONS AT DROP-OFF:
Monday, November 28th through Thursday, December 8th
Donation bin just inside main school entrance.

To make this event work, we need many volunteers on:
- Drop off days,
- Thursday after school to setup the gym,
- Friday during the event, and
- Friday after the event to clean-up
